Thin Client. A Set-Top Box that is designed to interface between another Set-Top Box and a TV (or other display device) over a home network and relies solely on the other Set- Top Box for access to digital video signals received from the network.
Thin Client. An independently-powered computer that relies on a connection to remote computing resources to obtain primary functionality. Main computing (e.g., programme execution, data storage, interaction with other Internet resources, etc.) takes place using the remote computing resources. Thin Clients covered by this specification are limited to devices with no rotational storage media integral to the computer. The main unit of a Thin Client covered by this specification must be intended for location in a permanent location (e.g. on a desk) and not for portability.
Thin Client.
