THE WORK ENVIRONMENT. The work setting provides an appropriate environment in which the student will be enabled to apply their University learning in practice which requires the student to work regularly with children and/or young people. The Setting will:  Take responsibility for the Health and Safety and personal liability of the student at the workplace as with any other employee/volunteer  Ensure the student has a current and relevant Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for the setting and inform the University if this is not the case  Follow Safeguarding and PREVENT reporting procedures.  Provide an appropriate environment in which the student will be enabled to apply their University learning in practice and agree to release the student from their duties in the setting to attend sessions at Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxxx University  Inform Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxxx University, Placement Team (01522 563720), should there be any prolonged absence of the student from the work setting (e.g. sickness, maternity or compassionate leave)  Take into consideration that the student will be using their workplace experience as a source of learning, and that this might involve for example, observations and reflective accounts being used in their University assessments  Support the university in monitoring attendance  Complete any necessary paperwork in order to support the development of the students  Ensure that parents and relevent stakeholders at the setting are aware of the nature of the student’s studies which are bound by the usual confidentiality policy of the setting  Provide adequate arrangements for first aid and accident reporting procedures  Provide PPE/C free of charge should this be necessary.   • Work Environment It is mutually agreed that the prevention of accidents and injuries to state employees will result in greater efficiency of operations of state government. Toward this end, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and the Union shall fully cooperate by encouraging all employees to perform their assigned tasks in a safe manner.

  • Working Environment The Parties agree that a safe and clean working environment is essential in order to carry out work assignments in a satisfactory manner. It will be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that all working areas and Employer-owned vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • Safe Environment The School shall maintain a safe learning environment at all times. The School shall develop and adhere to a safety plan, which shall be provided to the Commission.

  • NON-SEXIST ENVIRONMENT 1. A non-sexist environment is defined as that in which there is no discrimination against females or males by portraying them in gender stereotyped roles or by omitting their contributions.

  • Management of Special and Technical Environment Each certificated support person demonstrates an acceptable level of performance in managing and organizing the special materials, equipment and environment essential to the specialized programs.

  • Materials of Environmental Concern “Materials of Environmental Concern” include chemicals, pollutants, contaminants, wastes, toxic substances, petroleum and petroleum products and any other substance that is now or hereafter regulated by any Environmental Law or that is otherwise a danger to health, reproduction or the environment.

  • Hazardous Materials; Remediation (a) If any release or disposal of Hazardous Materials shall occur or shall have occurred on any real property or any other assets of any Borrower or any other Credit Party, such Borrower will cause, or direct the applicable Credit Party to cause, the prompt containment and removal of such Hazardous Materials and the remediation of such real property or other assets as is necessary to comply with all Environmental Laws and to preserve the value of such real property or other assets. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, each Borrower shall, and shall cause each other Credit Party to, comply with each Environmental Law requiring the performance at any real property by any Borrower or any other Credit Party of activities in response to the release or threatened release of a Hazardous Material.

  • Environment 1. Recognising the right of each Contracting Party to establish its own levels of domestic environmental protection and environmental development policies and priorities, and to adopt or modify accordingly its environmental legislation, each Contracting Party shall strive to ensure that its legislation provide for high levels of environmental protection and shall strive to continue to improve this legislation.

  • Health, Safety and Environment 41.1 In the performance of this Contract, Contractor and Operator shall conduct Petroleum Operations with due regard to health, safety and the protection of the environment (“HSE”) and the conservation of natural resources, and shall in particular:

  • Least Restrictive Environment The Board and the Association acknowledge that the policy of least restrictive environment is legally mandated and intended in the best educational interest of the student. Accordingly, the parties who would fit legal requirements which would involve the use of an Individual Educational Planning Team (IEPT) for placement in the regular classroom must be appropriate to the student’s unique needs as determined by an IEP on an individual basis. For the purpose of this section, such students shall be referred to as “mainstreamed students.”
