THE PROFESSIONAL DAY. For purposes of fulfilling professional responsibilities associated with teaching, an eight (8) hour workday will be flexible, and will be guided by these principles:

THE PROFESSIONAL DAY. The professional day shall be seven hours and thirty minutes (7 ½ hours) in length when the 7- 12 class schedule is operated as a six (6) period day. Certificated classroom employees teaching in grade levels K-6 shall be provided an average of sixty (60) minutes of planning time per day for instructional planning. The certificated classroom employees teaching in grades 7-12 shall be provided a daily instructional planning period equal to the length of the district’s standard secondary class period. K-6 certificated classroom employees will be provided the same planning period as described in the previous paragraph. Each certified classroom employee shall determine the best use of their instructional planning period. The professional day shall be governed by the applicable state RCW’s and WAC’s. Employees may leave the school campus during their duty-free lunch period. Employees may leave the campus during their planning period with permission from their supervisor. When the school day starts late, employees shall report thirty (30) minutes prior to the students scheduled arrival time without the loss of wages or benefits. Employees shall be allowed to leave their assigned duty site immediately after the students have cleared the building prior to the beginning of a scheduled holiday period, on the last student day of the school year, and on days that they have been requested to return to school or another site to attend a scheduled evening meeting event (e.g. PTO, holiday program, etc.).

  • Professional Day The period set forth in the Professional Day Article.

  • Professional Days The President of the College or the President’s designee may assign any faculty member up to seven (7) days during the academic year for scheduled orientation and registration programs, commencement and convocation activities and such other College sponsored activities the Present deems appropriate. Professional days shall be assigned no earlier than three (3) days prior to the first (1st) day of classes in the fall semester and no earlier than four (4) days prior to the first (1st) day of classes in the spring semester. Such duties and responsibilities may be assigned to individual faculty members in blocks in one-half (1/2) day or more; and provided further that a faculty member shall not be required to discharge these responsibilities over more than fourteen (14) days during the academic year.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Scope of Professional Services 3.1 On the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, COUNTY hereby engages CONTRACTOR to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the Project/Service in accordance with the Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment A, as modified or clarified by Addendum(s) # , dated , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Attachment B. It is understood that the Scope of Services may be modified by change order as the Project/Service progresses, but to be effective and binding, any such change order must be in writing, executed by the parties, and in accordance with the COUNTY’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures. A copy of these policies and procedures shall be made available to the CONTRACTOR upon request.

  • Professional Service Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR A. Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations, and directions adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, provided that a teacher may reasonably refuse to carry out an order which threatens physical safety or well being or is professionally demeaning.

  • Contract for Professional Services of Physicians Optometrists, and Registered Nurses In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 2254.008(a)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Outside Professional Activities (a) For the purpose of this article, "outside professional activities" means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations, or voluntary practice of the employee’s profession, which support and/or promote the advancement of research, scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, or professional development, and improve the working conditions of academic staff.

  • Professional Services Bodily injury" or "property damage" arising out of the rendering of or failure to render profes- sional services;

  • Professional Services Fees You agree to pay us the professional services fees in the amounts set forth in the Investment Summary. Those amounts are payable in accordance with our Invoicing and Payment Policy. You acknowledge that the fees stated in the Investment Summary are good-faith estimates of the amount of time and materials required for your implementation. We will bill you the actual fees incurred based on the in-scope services provided to you. Any discrepancies in the total values set forth in the Investment Summary will be resolved by multiplying the applicable hourly rate by the quoted hours.
