In accordance with Executive Order 13513, "“Federal Leadership on Reducing Text Messaging While Driving" ”, (10/1/2009) and DOT Order 3902.10 3902.10, “Text Messaging While Driving” ”, (12/30/2009), the FAA encourages recipients of Federal grant funds to adopt and enforce safety policies thatthat decrease crashes by distracted drivers, including policies to ban text messaging while driving when performing work related to a grant or subgrant.
