The 'Tender Stage' clause defines the period and procedures during which bids or proposals are solicited and evaluated for a project or contract. Tender Stage. (a) Advising the Client on the technical suitability for carrying out the Works of persons and firms tendering for the main contract and for any specialist sub- contract involving the supply and/or installation of parts of the Works.
(b) Advising the Client on the relative merits of tenders, prices and estimates received for carrying out the Works.
(c) Advising on and preparing the formal contract documents relating to accepted tenders for carrying out the Works or any part thereof.
Tender Stage. The professional services to be provided by the consulting engineer at this stage comprise advising the Contractor as to the suitability for carrying out the works of the persons, firms or companies tendering and as to the relative merits of tenders, but excluding relative merits of alternative tenders, prices and estimates received for carrying out the works.
Tender Stage. (i) Assist the MOD as required in the assessment of tenders received against the ITT, statement of work and scenarios to ensure that the proposal meets the MoD’s requirement.
