Common use of TEMPORARY WORKING LEVEL Clause in Contracts

TEMPORARY WORKING LEVEL. The Employer may temporarily assign an employee to replace an absent employee or to fill a vacant position during the posting and selection process. If the temporary assignment is to a classification with a higher pay range and is in excess of four (4) working days, the affected employee shall receive a pay adjustment which increases step rate of pay to the: (a) Classification salary base of the higher level position or (b) A rate of pay approximately 4% above his/her current step rate of compensation.
