Temporary Contracts. The Board shall have the right to issue a temporary non-renewable contract for a period of one (1) year or less which expressly eliminates the teacher’s right of contract renewal (as specified in paragraph 7.6) and layoff and recall (as specified in Article 9) in the following circumstances: A. For vacant positions posted after June 1; B. To those teachers who are employed under an emergency or provisional license; C. To those individuals hired to replace a teacher on a paid or unpaid leave pursuant to Article 12 of this Agreement.
