The TELEPHONE / DATA OUTLETS clause defines the requirements and responsibilities for providing and installing telephone and data communication outlets within a property or project. Cover plate finish required: white, supplied by tenant’s Telcom contractor. Mount so that the center of the receptacles is no less than 15” AFF. b. One (1) 6’ wide by 4’ high plywood backboard installed as telephone backboard, brace and secure to wall. Painted to match wall color. Provide one duplex 20 amp dedicated outlet for phone service per above electrical specification. Provide 2” conduit from floor main phone room to six inches (6”) below ceiling at telephone backboard. c. Cable service installation for phone and data outlets by tenant’s telephone/data vendors at tenant’s cost. Additional outlets and cover plates to be provided by tenant’s vendors at tenant’s cost. In speculative office suites, contractor to provide and install blank cover plates. d. Telephone panel boards to be located within tenant space and to be surface mounted.

Cabling, devices, and coverplates shall be telephone/data supplier/installer per Tenant requirements. 3. All cabling shall be installed above the ceiling grid and supported by its own support system.

Outlet shall include (option) plaster ring and pull string routed in walls to ceiling cavity or (option) metal outlet box with empty conduit with pull string routed in walls to ceiling cavity. Telephone installation including outlet device and wall plate, telephone and data cabling is Tenant’s responsibility. Electrical or special requirements for large system (including power, emergency power backup, UPS, localized cooling equipment, backboards, special grounding, protection or other requirements) including additional conduit is Tenant’s responsibility. Telephone equipment and panels (when required) shall be located within the Premises.
