Technical Trainees Clause Samples

The 'Technical Trainees' clause defines the terms and conditions under which individuals classified as technical trainees may participate in a project or organization. Typically, this clause outlines eligibility criteria, the scope of permissible activities, supervision requirements, and any limitations on the trainee's responsibilities or duration of engagement. For example, it may specify that technical trainees can assist with certain technical tasks under direct supervision but are not authorized to make independent decisions. The core function of this clause is to ensure that trainees gain practical experience in a controlled environment while protecting the organization from risks associated with unqualified personnel performing critical tasks.
Technical Trainees. This chapter applies to employment of technical trainees for skills training in order to become technical fitters.
Technical Trainees. “ETT” (a) Progression incremental increases will be granted at the beginning of the pay periods nearest to June 1st and December 1st in each year, provided the employee meets all the performance requirements of his assignment. Failure to meet these requirements could result in reclassification to a non-technical assignment or separation from the Company. (b) No employee will remain on the Technical Trainee Salary Schedule for a period longer than the elapsed time between his date of hiring and/or reclassification and the third subsequent major evaluation period. At any of the major evaluation periods (which occurs in the months of March and April of each year), an employee may be proposed for review and possible reclassification to the Technical Salary Schedule. (c) When an employee is reclassified from the Technical Trainee Schedule (Grade ETT) to the Technical Salary Schedule, he will receive a salary increase equal to the incremental step of the grade to which he is reclassified, provided that the employee’s rate does not exceed the maximum of the grade to which he is reclassified. An employee (ETT) whose rate is above the maximum of the grade to which he is reclassified will be re-rated to the maximum of his new grade.
