Common use of TAXES AND PERMITS Clause in Contracts

TAXES AND PERMITS. a. Except as otherwise provided by the Contract Documents, Subcontractor agrees to pay and comply with and hold Contractor harmless against the payment of all contributions, taxes or premiums which may be payable by it under Federal, state or local laws arising out of the performance of this Subcontract, and all sales, use or other taxes of whatever nature levied or assessed against Owner, Contractor, or Subcontractor arising out of this Subcontract, including any interest or penalties. Subcontractor shall obtain and pay for all permits, licenses, fees and certificates of inspection necessary for the prosecution and completion of its work and shall furnish copies of same to the Contractor.
