Task B3 Watershed Awareness. Increase community awareness of San Diego’s coastal watersheds and illuminate the connection between watersheds, stormwater, and the health of our coastal waters with outdoor education activities and supplemental resources. Tasks include: o Plan, produce, promote, and host outdoor education activities (such as Watershed Walks) highlighting stormwater topic priorities like green infrastructure and equity.  Identify different venues and locations along watersheds of concern based on district, community need, priority objectives, green infrastructure project sites, and availability of local partners.  Coordinate with local experts in the field of stormwater capture, stormwater management, watershed ecology, and green infrastructure to ensure their participation. o Explore, conduct research, and recommend outreach strategies based on priority objectives (e.g., equity) and audiences. o Maintain, update, and promote the online interactive watershed map that allows users to explore the areas where they work, live, and play, identify green infrastructure projects in their communities, and understand in which watersheds each activity occurs. o Develop supplemental watershed outreach resources and distribute them at various in-person and virtual community events to support local watershed awareness. o Produce, maintain, and distribute educational materials for Spanish- speaking communities. o Develop digital and printed supplemental watershed outreach resources. o Continuously evaluate, collaborate with, and solicit feedback from communities on the effectiveness of the materials. o Cross-promote watershed awareness events and resources on the City of San Diego’s Think Blue website, email newsletter, and social media channels.
