Common use of Switchgear Clause in Contracts

Switchgear. All switchgear is inspected and maintained in accordance with OEM specifications which are obtained from the Duvha P/S library. In some instances, the Contractor will be required to execute maintenance with PTM, Eskom protestation system maintenance contractor. The Contractor shall execute the following maintenance:  Remove all panel covers and clean board internally  Clean and inspect all busbars, links, cable connections  Clean and inspect VT's  Reposition cable number tags if required  Check wear-gap  Replace vermiculite where necessary  CT inspection and cleaning  Replace broken plastic screws on panel covers  Pressure test Vacuum bottles  Insulation test Vacuum bottles  Ductor test Vacuum breakers  Links to be function checked  Clean and inspect all breakers  Lubricate breakers and function checks
