Suspected Explosive Device. 1. A bomb may be any size or shape, and it may be placed inside any kind of container. Search teams, locating a strange or suspicious object, should note its description and location. 2. If applicable, the explosive device should be covered with the bomb blanket. DO NOT touch, move, pick up, or disturb any unexploded ordinance or suspicious device under any circumstances. 3. Isolate the device, and evacuate the building. 4. Seal off the area surrounding the suspicious device, and clearly designate the area as a “Danger Zone”. 5. Protect the area and wait for a professionally trained bomb technical to examined, removed, or disarm the explosive device. 6. The Operations Manager shall notify the following: ✓ Chief of Police ✓ Fire Rescue and Ambulance for standby precautions ✓ Utilities should be shut off at the building site ✓ Building Representatives
