SURVEY / DESIGN PHASE Clause Samples

The SURVEY / DESIGN PHASE clause defines the initial stage of a project where surveys are conducted and design work is developed before construction or implementation begins. This clause typically outlines the responsibilities for gathering site data, preparing preliminary plans, and obtaining necessary approvals or permits. By clearly delineating the scope and deliverables of this phase, it ensures that all parties have a shared understanding of the project's foundational requirements, reducing the risk of misunderstandings or costly changes later in the process.
