Surplus Employee. An employee who remains in the work force but is removed from his/her job classification due to a work reduction and applies his/her seniority to another job classification. Temporary termination of an employee’s work as a disciplinary measure.
Surplus Employee a permanent full-time or part-time Employee who has exercised his/her rights as per Article 14 and has been unable to secure permanent employment with the Employer. Note: A surplus Employee shall be paid as defined in Article 23. The provisions of the Collective Agreement applicable to a surplus Employee are as defined in Article 14.06.
