Supervision Ratios. Reasonable ratios of adults to children and youth will be maintained at all times involving the supervision of children or youth. Paid staff will be primarily responsible for setting and maintaining a reasonable ratio of adults to children and youth, giving due regard to all factors present, including the number and age of the participants, the nature of the activities and the location where the activities are taking place. Generally, these ratios will be approximately: One adult leader for every six participants ages eight and below; One adult leader for every ten participants ages nine to 12; and One adult leader for every 12 participants ages 13 to 17 Nursery care reflects unique ratio needs that are determined by paid staff and outlined in the nursery’s protocol and guidelines.
