Successor LMIR.Benchmark Replacement Setting Clause Samples

The 'Successor LMIR.Benchmark Replacement Setting' clause defines the process for selecting a new benchmark rate if the original LMIR (Local Market Interbank Rate) benchmark becomes unavailable or is no longer appropriate. In practice, this clause outlines the criteria and procedures for identifying and implementing a suitable replacement rate, which may involve referencing alternative rates or following regulatory guidance. Its core function is to ensure continuity and certainty in financial contracts by providing a clear mechanism for adapting to changes in benchmark availability, thereby minimizing disruption and ambiguity for the parties involved.
