Common use of Subcontracting Services Clause in Contracts

Subcontracting Services. If the Hospital contemplates contracting work normally performed by staff covered by this Agreement, the Hospital agrees, prior to the execution for such contract to provide no less than five (5) weeks’ notice of such action, and to meet with the Union for discussion of the proposed contract. If such a contract is executed, the Hospital agrees to give displaced staff consideration concerning other positions at the Hospital for which they are qualified. If such subcontracting necessitates the layoff of personnel, affected staff shall be given at least thirty (30) calendar days’ notice prior to being laid off.
