Subcontracting Effects. Effects negotiations on the subcontracting decision, as it pertains to bargaining unit employees, shall be on an expedited basis, commencing no later than three (3) weeks prior to the effective date, with such process to end no later than one (1) week prior to the effective date of the subcontracting. An employee who is laid off, and is not hired by the subcontractor to work at the Hospital, shall be entitled to receive severance pay pursuant to the terms of Section 7.8.5, Severance Pay, of this Agreement.
