Common use of SUBCONTRACT CLAUSE Clause in Contracts

SUBCONTRACT CLAUSE. The Employer agrees not to subcontract or sublet any work covered by this Agreement that he has traditionally and historically done with his own work force, to any person, firm, or corporation which will not follow the terms and conditions of this Agreement. An Employer acting in the capacity of a construction manager agrees that it, or any of its subcontractors, will not contract or subcontract carpentry work to be done at the site of construction, alteration, or repair of the building, or structure except to a person, firm, or corporation party to a current Labor Agreement with the Union. A construction manager is defined as one who has no field employees on that project.
