Station Sergeant. The parties agree that all employees within a State Patrol Station shall 15 be eligible for consideration for the position of Station Sergeant. Selection from among 16 those employees who have expressed an interest in the position shall be based on 17 qualifications and seniority in the following order: 18 a. Selection from among those employees with rank of Trooper in seniority order. 19 b. In the event an employee is not selected he/she shall be entitled to an explanation of 20 the reasons he/she was not selected, and, if so desires shall be given a written 21 statement listing the reasons he/she was not selected. 22 Seniority will be considered the dominant factor in the selection of the Station Sergeant. 1 The Association agrees that the Appointing Authority's decision to terminate an employee 2 from the station sergeant assignment during the first six months of the assignment shall 3 not be grievable. The Appointing Authority agrees that after six (6) months service, it shall 4 terminate an employee from the station sergeant assignment only with just cause.
