Common use of Standard Medicaid Funding Process Clause in Contracts

Standard Medicaid Funding Process. The standard CHIP funding process will be used during the demonstration. The state must estimate matchable Medicaid expansion CHIP (MCHP) expenditures on the quarterly Form CMS-37.12 (Narrative) for both Medical Assistance Payments (MAP) and State and Local Administrative Costs (ADM). On the form CMS-37.12, the state must separately identify estimates of expenditures for the demonstration population. CMS will make federal funds available based upon the state’s estimate, as approved by CMS. Within thirty (30) days after the end of each quarter, the state must submit the Form CMS-64.21U Waiver and/or CMS-64.21UP Waiver. CMS will reconcile expenditures reported on the Form CMS-64.21 waiver forms with federal funding previously made available to the state, and include the reconciling adjustment in the finalization of the grant award to the state.
