The 'Spring Conferences' clause establishes the requirement or framework for holding conferences or meetings during the spring season. Spring Conferences. Teachers in Grades K-4 shall also provide parent-teacher conferences to be held during the “Spring Period.” Each grade K through 4 classroom Teacher shall be responsible to schedule a conference with the parent(s) of the children in his/her homeroom/ class during the Spring Period. Conferences shall take place during non-instructional time to be scheduled at the teacher’s discretion. Teachers in Grades K through 4 who are required to hold conferences shall receive a lump sum payment of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) for the Spring Period conferences. K-4 teachers of special subjects who hold parent conferences will be compensated in accordance with section b.2 below.

Spring Conferences. A waiver for spring conferences allowing for two (2) evenings and two (2) early release days can be accomplished by conducting an anonymous survey developed collaboratively by the Principal and Building Association Representative(s) at the semester break. Survey results will be reviewed and reported to the staff by the Principal and Building Associations Representative(s).
