Common use of Specific Gravity Clause in Contracts

Specific Gravity. The specific gravity of Producers’ Gas and MV Mitigation Gas shall be determined by a recording gravitometer or chromatographic device installed and located at a suitable point to record representative specific gravity of Gas being metered or, at Gatherer’s option, by spot samples or continuous sampling using standard type gravity methods. If a recording gravitometer or chromatographic device is used, the gravity to the nearest one-thousandth (0.001) obtained while Producers’ Gas and MV Mitigation Gas is being delivered shall be the specific gravity of the Gas used for the recording period. If the spot sample or continuous sampling method is used, the gravity shall be determined to the nearest one-thousandth (0.001). Spot sampling shall be determined at the same frequency as Gross Heating Value is determined pursuant to Section 3(f), below. The result should be applied during such Month for the determination of Producers’ Gas and MV Mitigation Gas volumes delivered.
