Common use of Soil Erosion Clause in Contracts

Soil Erosion. The Contractor must take all proper precautions to prevent soil erosion from any land used or occupied by the Contractor in the execution of the work under the contract. In respect of construction sites, smoking is prohibited. All debris, spoil, rubbish or materials shall be suitably contained and covered in vehicles during transportation to or from the site to prevent spillage or contamination of adjoining and other areas or property. The Contractor must maintain vehicles, wheels and tracks in a suitable clean condition to prevent transfer of mud onto adjacent streets or other areas.
