Socket Outlets. Socket outlet shall be surface or flush type, 5 or 15 Amps, 250 Volt, 5 / 3 pin, two in one shuttered or non shuttered type as indicated in Sch “A”. Switch Socket outlets shall conform to IS and shall be as specified in clause 19.114.5 and 19.114.5.1 of MES Schedule Part- I, 2009 print. Every socket outlet shall be controlled by a switch and switch controlling the socket outlet shall be on the live side of the line.
