Small-Scale Productions Clause Samples
The Small-Scale Productions clause defines special terms or conditions that apply to productions with limited budgets, resources, or scope. Typically, this clause outlines reduced fees, simplified reporting requirements, or modified obligations for projects that fall below a certain financial or operational threshold. By tailoring contractual expectations to the realities of smaller projects, the clause ensures that such productions are not overburdened by requirements designed for larger-scale endeavors, thereby promoting fairness and feasibility.

Small-Scale Productions. For small-scale productions which include scenery or costumes, the Engager shall at all times engage one (1) Stage Manager. In addition the Engager will engage sufficient Stage Management staff to ensure the safe, efficient and artistic running of the production. In the event that one or more Assistant Stage Managers have not been engaged for a production and the Stage Manager determines, at any time, that additional staff is necessary, the Stage Manager shall inform the Engager and Equity. The Engager shall then engage the additional Stage Management staff that it deems necessary. Should the Engager not engage the additional Stage Management staff as recommended by the Stage Manager, the Engager and Equity shall meet to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution. The intent and reason for this Clause is that no productions be understaffed.
