The Site Based Decision Making/School Improvement clause establishes a framework for individual schools to make key decisions regarding their operations and improvement strategies. Site Based Decision Making/School Improvement. The BOARD and ASSOCIATION recognize the importance of site based decision making/school improvement. The parties agree that either or all processes shall contain adequate teacher representation. All processes shall be voluntary. Both parties agree that the intent of site based decision making/school improvement is to improve the delivery of quality education through joint planning and problem solving. However, both parties also agree that the intent of site based decision making/school improvement is not to circumvent the terms and provision of the Master Agreement. After implementation of Site Based Decision Making/School Improvement programs, the BOARD agrees to provide information to the ASSOCIATION concerning said programs, and to meet periodically to discuss such.
Site Based Decision Making/School Improvement. At least one (1) bargaining unit member from each school building shall be invited to participate on that school's improvement committee. Where release time is not provided, the employee shall participate up to fourteen (14) hours on a volunteer basis. Any additional hours above the fourteen (14) shall be paid at the employee's regular hourly rate.
