SHORING. Unless separately provided for in the contract, excavation of slopes to prevent falling in of sides or providing, fixing, maintaining and removing shoring, bracing etc. shall not be paid for. The Contractor shall be responsible for the design of shoring of sufficient strength to resist side pressure and ensure safety from steps and blows and to prevent damage to work and property and injury to persons. It shall be removed as directed after all the items for which it is required are completed.
