Shift openings. 1) Shift openings result from newly created positions and/or individual vacancies that arise subsequent to a general rescheduling. When shift openings occur, they shall be posted at each facility’s union bulletin board for five (5) calendar days. Posting will include location, job classification and hours of work.
2) The Employer may permanently adjust an employee’s schedule up to one (1) hour earlier or one (1) hour later than the employee’s current schedule, subject to operational need. Employees and the Union will receive written notice of any proposed change at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. Upon request from the Union, the Employer shall meet with the Union to discuss the reasons for the change.
Shift openings. Available full-time and part-time shifts shall be posted at times in the discretion of the Employer. Each Employees shall have (7) calendar days within which to bid. The shift shall be awarded from the bidders pursuant to seniority. The successful bidder's previous shift, if maintained, shall then be bid and awarded pursuant seniority. Any remaining shift openings may then be assigned by the Employer within its discretion. In the event there are no bidders for any posted shift. The Employer may fill such hours by assigning Employees or from any other source.
Shift openings. In the event that an opening occurs on any shift, qualified senior employees (as determined by the County) in the job classification shall have the first option to move to the open shift before the position is posted and filled. Qualifications shall include prior work performance and experience, skills and abilities, prior training and educational experience. All employees shall be notified of the results of their job bid by one of the following:

B. Sealed note on time badge 5. Date of Hire, Anniversary Dates, Seniority Date:
Shift openings. Within two (2) weeks of an opening on a shift, all eligible Employees will be given an opportunity, based on seniority, to fill the opening. Once the opening has been filled the position vacated by the movement of the senior officer will then be filled by a new hire until the next shift bid as outlined in Article 6.2., provided such does not alter time-off already scheduled, consistent with Article 6.
