Settlement Purpose Clause Samples
The Settlement Purpose clause defines the specific reason or objective for which a settlement agreement is being entered into by the parties. It typically outlines the background of the dispute or issue being resolved and clarifies what the settlement is intended to achieve, such as resolving all claims related to a particular contract or incident. By clearly stating the purpose, this clause helps ensure that both parties have a mutual understanding of the settlement's scope, thereby reducing the risk of future misunderstandings or disputes about what has been resolved.
