Serving Initial Probationary Period Clause Samples

The 'Serving Initial Probationary Period' clause establishes a defined timeframe at the beginning of employment during which the employee's performance and suitability for the role are closely evaluated. Typically, this period lasts for a set number of months, and during this time, the employer may have greater flexibility to terminate employment with shorter notice or fewer procedural requirements. The core function of this clause is to provide both parties with an opportunity to assess fit and performance before committing to a longer-term employment relationship, thereby reducing risk and ensuring that expectations are met early on.
