Service Generated Data Clause Samples

The 'Service Generated Data' clause defines the ownership, use, and handling of data that is created or collected as a result of the services provided under the agreement. Typically, this clause clarifies whether the service provider or the client retains rights to data such as usage statistics, performance metrics, or derivative information generated during service delivery. For example, a cloud software provider may collect anonymized usage data to improve its services or for analytics purposes. The core function of this clause is to allocate rights and responsibilities regarding newly generated data, ensuring both parties understand how such data can be used, shared, or protected.
