Common use of Senior Constable Clause in Contracts

Senior Constable. There shall be a Senior Constable classification that will be paid at 1.5% above the First Class Constable rate. To qualify for the Senior Constable rate a First Class Constable must meet the following criteria: 1) ten (10) years or more of service; and, 2) effective January 1, 2002, must have obtained a mark of at least 75% on the Ontario Police College Promotional Examination for promotion to the rank of Sergeant; 3) all members at the Senior Constable rate as of December 31, 2001, will remain at the Senior Constable rate. Effective July 1, 2005, for salary purposes only, there shall be a Senior Constable classification that will be based on Service to be calculated from date of appointment as a Sworn member with the Thunder Bay Police and paid as follows: For those members having completed ten (10) years service but less than seventeen
