Common use of Securities Repaid in Part Clause in Contracts

Securities Repaid in Part. Any Security that by its terms may be purchased or repaid by the Bank in part at the option of the Holder and that is to be purchased or repaid only in part by the Bank shall be surrendered at any office or agency of the Bank designated for that purpose pursuant to Section 1002 (with, if the Bank or the Trustee so requires, due endorsement by, or a written instrument of transfer in form satisfactory to the Bank and the Trustee duly executed by, the Holder thereof or his attorney duly authorized in writing), and the Bank shall execute, and the Trustee shall authenticate and deliver to the Holder of such Security without service charge, a new Security or Securities of the same series, of any authorized denomination as requested by such Holder, in aggregate principal amount equal to and in exchange for the unpurchased or unrepaid portion of the principal of the Security so surrendered.
