Section 8.2.5. 3 Less than twelve (12) month employees shall be encouraged to utilize accrued vacation credits on the 4 same basis as twelve (12) month employees, except that the District shall be entitled to deny vacation 5 usage on student attendance days where the employee’s absence would place an unreasonable 6 hardship on the District. Unreasonable hardship shall be mutually understood as the lack of a 7 qualified replacement at an equal or lower cost for an employee with a unique skill set. Unused 8 vacation credits for less than twelve (12) month employees shall be treated as “in lieu of vacation 9 credit” and shall be cashed out in the June check.
