Section 8.2.5. 33 Security personnel may cash out vacation leave on non-school attendance days, winter and 34 spring break or summer vacation, provided however, that requests for vacation leave may be 35 approved at other times as mutually agreed between the employee and the employee's 36 supervisor. Vacation time for security personnel will be calculated at the end of each year 37 based on hours worked during that school year for use or cash out the following year. 38 39 Section 8.3. Section 8.2.5. 14 Less than twelve-month employees shall be encouraged to utilize accrued vacation credits on the 15 same basis as twelve-month employees, except that the District shall be entitled to deny vacation 16 usage on student attendance days where the employee’s absence would place an unreasonable 17 hardship on the District. Unreasonable hardship shall be mutually understood as the lack of a 18 qualified replacement at an equal or lower cost for an employee with a unique skill set.
