Section 7.9.9 Clause Samples

Section 7.9.9. Due to the safety of all concerned, on overnight trips, drivers shall have a room and be given 3 the opportunity to receive at least eight (8) hours of uninterrupted nighttime rest in a twenty- 4 four (24) hour period. Each driver assigned to an overnight trip will have the right to his/her 5 own room, provided however, that two (2) drivers of the same gender shall be required to share 6 a room. A driver may have a single room provided; (a) the driver pays the higher cost of a 7 single room; (b) the driver notifies the District of his/her request a reasonable period in advance 8 of the trip; and (c) the requested private room is available.
