Common use of Section 6.12. Flex Time Clause in Contracts

Section 6.12. Flex Time. 2 An employee may request “flex time(s),” which means trading time(s) in one’s schedule. Such trades 3 must occur within the same work week and be pre-approved by the department supervisor. Flex Time 4 does not include the trading of hours between employees. Flexed hours shall not be paid as overtime 5 and cannot generate the need for the District to hire a substitute. The employee and the supervisor shall 6 determine the resolution of the request, providing for minimal program interruption. Flex time hours 7 are monitored by the department supervisor and not entered on a time sheet.
