Common use of SECTION 1017 Clause in Contracts

SECTION 1017. 2 In the event an employee is absent for reasons which are covered by industrial insurance, unless 3 the employee requests otherwise, the District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the 4 difference between the amount paid the employee by the industrial insurance and the amount 5 the employee would normally earn. A deduction shall be made from the employee's 6 accumulated sick leave in accordance with the amount paid to the employee by the District.
