Common use of Section 1.01 – Recognition Clause in Contracts

Section 1.01 – Recognition. The Board, having determined that the Association is supported by a majority of the employees in a unit composed of all professional, certified teachers, guidance counselors, teaching assistants, school nurses, school psychologist, school social worker, and long- term substitute teachers* except administrators, such as Superintendent, Business Manager, Middle/High School Principal, Elementary School Principal, and Pupil Personnel Services Director, hereby recognizes the York Teachers’ Association as the exclusive negotiating agent for the employees in such unit. Such recognition shall extend in accordance with the provisions of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Law. * Long-Term Substitute Teachers are referenced in Section 10.01.6 (page 27).
