Second Tier Subcontractors Sample Clauses

The "Second Tier Subcontractors" clause defines the rules and requirements for engaging subcontractors who are hired by the primary subcontractor rather than directly by the main contractor. Typically, this clause outlines the approval process for second tier subcontractors, such as requiring the main contractor’s consent before they are engaged, and may set standards for their qualifications or performance. Its core function is to ensure oversight and quality control over all parties working on a project, thereby reducing risks associated with unapproved or unqualified subcontractors being involved in the work.
