Second Job. Bargaining unit members may hold a second part-time job and/or significant campus leadership role, however, it is agreed that their bargaining unit job is primary job and takes precedence over any other employment or campus leadership role.
Second Job. No graduate student employee shall be denied the right to work at a job not covered by this Agreement, as long as such employment does not interfere with the graduate student employee's fulfillment of all terms and conditions of their graduate student employment. No graduate student employee shall be denied the right to work at an additional job within the bargaining unit, but outside the graduate student employee’s academic department, as long as such employment does not interfere with the graduate student employee’s fulfillment of all terms and conditions of their graduate student employment.
Second Job. No employee shall be denied the right to work for another employer, as long as such second job does not interfere with the employee’s duties and responsibilities for the Employer.
Second Job. Section 1. Any member of this department covered by this agreement may engage in extra work for another employer outside his/her regular hours of duty, provided that such extra work does not interfere or conflict with his/her regular duties as a member of this department or his/her availability for emergency duty, not affect his/her physical condition to the extent that it impairs his/her ability to efficiently perform such duties, and further that the employee shall complete a notice of secondary employment to be filed with the Sheriff prior to starting the requested employment. The sheriff shall have the right to obtain information as to the mane of any employee’s secondary employer, the employee’s duties or job description and the number of hours worked for that employer or any other information deemed necessary by the Sheriff. Second Job. Any Graduate Assistant appointed to a Graduate Assistantship may hold a second job (either at the University or outside the University) only if the Graduate Assistant discloses in writing (before accepting a second job) that second job to their Department Chair or program director and the Graduate School ▇▇▇▇, so long as such other employment is de minimis; is consistent with applicable laws; and, does not interfere with the Graduate Assistant’s academic progress and performance in their Graduate Assistantship. Under no circumstances may a Graduate Assistant hold more than one 20-hour Appointment in one semester. Under no circumstances shall University-based employment exceed thirty (30) hours.
