Common use of School Staffing Clause in Contracts

School Staffing. Any person not employed by the Boston Public Schools as of July 1, 1994 who is hired into a BASAS unit position that is not statutorily exempt from residence requirements, shall be governed by the Boston residence ordinance. A school that has adopted school-based management and formed a School Site Council may make decisions on the voluntary in-transfers of teachers without regard to teacher seniority. In the event that the School Site Council is unable to reach a decision, the contract provision governing transfers shall apply.
