School Board Review. The School Board reserves the right to review any decision issued under Level I or Level II of this procedure provided the School Board or its representative notifies the parties of its intention to review within ten (10) days after the decision has been rendered. In the event the School Board reviews a grievance under this section, the School Board reserves the right to reverse or modify such decision.

At its option, the school board may also review a grievance at the written request of the grievant, providing such written request is made within ten (10) days after review of the Level II decision. In the event the school board determines to review a grievance, it shall hold a hearing and issue a decision within twenty (20) working days after the written notice by the school district or within twenty (20) days after receipt of the request for review by the grievant. Local 3904 shall receive written advance notice as to the date of said hearing. In the event of such review, the school board reserves the right to affirm, reverse or modify such decision. At the option of the school board, a committee or representative(s) of the school board may be designated by the school board to hear the appeal at this level, and report its findings and recommendations to the school board.
School Board Review. At the request of the grievant or at its own initiative, the school board or a committee designated by the board may review decisions issued under Level I or Level II. The full school board reserves the right to affirm, reverse, or modify decisions made at Levels I and II. Within ten days after receiving a written appeal or within ten days after notifying the grievant of its intention to review, the board or its appointed committee will meet to review the decision or hear the appeal. Within fifteen days of the review or appeal, the full school board shall issue a written decision to the principal involved.

If the School Board denies a grievance pursuant to this action, the grievant shall, if dissatisfied with the decision, move directly to arbitration pursuant to Section 7 below.

School Board Review. If after a hearing before the School Board the suspension is reversed and set aside, the employee shall be reinstated and compensated for salary loss during the period of the suspension. However, should the decision of the School Board, after said hearing, be to uphold the suspension, the employee shall have the right to invoke the grievance procedure set forth in this Agreement at the arbitration level, provided written notification requesting arbitration is received by the School Board within five (5) days after receipt of the School Board decision.
