Common use of Schedules of 8 Hours Clause in Contracts

Schedules of 8 Hours. 29.1 Unless otherwise provided herein, employees will be provided with a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period during each half of the shift. This rest period cannot commence before the end of the first hour of an employee’s shift nor shall the rest period be given before one (1) hour has elapsed after an employee’s lunch period. An employee’s lunch period shall commence within three (3) to five (5) hours of shift start. Employees will also be provided with a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period if they are scheduled to work more than one (1) hour of overtime beyond their regular shift. This rest period shall be taken at the com- pletion of their regular shift.
