Scaffolds. All employees working from a scaffold above the height of forty (40) feet from ground level (roof shall constitute "ground"), a minimum of one (1) hour at double time shall be paid in any one (1) day that an employee works high time, or accumulated time spent above this height, whichever is greater. Two (2) qualified persons shall constitute a crew.
Scaffolds. All hanging or swinging scaffolds shall conform to applicable safety laws and regulations. OSHA approved safety harnesses shall be furnished to and worn by all Employees while working on said scaffolds.
Scaffolds. In case scaffolding is part of its scope, Shipyard / Fabrication Yards shall ensure that: ▪ Scaffolds are equipped with suitable top railings, intermediate railings and skirting boards. The components of the work floor must be mounted in a close-fitting way without leaving any gaps between them. ▪ The work floor is accessed by means of a staircase (tower) or ladder; ▪ Before commissioning, the scaffold is checked by a competent person of the Shipyard / Fabrication Yard. Thereafter the scaffold should be checked on minimum intervals of time as required in the local legislation, or due to a modification of the scaffold; ▪ When requested, calculation notes for scaffolds should be in place. ▪ People that are not involved in the assembly of the scaffold may not access the scaffold until it is completed and checked by a competent person of the Shipyard / Fabrication Yard. ▪ Employees who work on scaffolding have been trained in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations. If the scaffolding must be modified in order to carry out works (e.g. moving work platforms), this may only be done by employees who have had appropriate training for this. After modifications have been made, the scaffolding must be inspected by a competent person of the Shipyard / Fabrication Yard ▪ At the request of JDN, the necessary training certificates for working on, (dis)assembling, adapting and releasing scaffolds can be submitted. It is the Shipyard / Fabrication Yard’s responsibility to organise adequate training courses for its employees.
Scaffolds. The building, erecting, dismantling and maintenance thereof all exterior scaffolds for all trades. Building, planking or installation and removal of all staging, swinging and hanging scaffolds shall be the work of the laborers; When a masonry subcontractor or general contractor performs the erection and/or dismantling of scaffolding in the furtherance of any masonry work, the erection and/or dismantling of scaffolding, along with all of the masonry work, shall be the exclusive jurisdiction of the laborer. Erection, operation and dismantling of all tubular, hydraulic, mechanical, self-climbing scaffolds, lifts and platforms.
Scaffolds. Section 1. No employee shall build a wall higher than four feet and eight inches for a scaffold. This also means that no scaffold shall be built more than four feet and six inches high, plus decking, in order to prevent reaching down from scaffolding to wall. In working up to overhead beams or ceiling, employees are permitted decking of scaffold to be six feet from overhead if proper foot scaffold and ten- inch boards are used. Section 2. In no case shall employees be laid off for the purpose of building or stocking up of scaffolds. Section 3. Employer shall provide ladders for employees to get on and off all scaffolds. Section 4. ▇▇▇▇▇ foremen shall see that all scaffolds are properly built so that they will be safe for the employees working on them. Section 5. All outside scaffolds shall have a guard rail in compliance with the safety standards regarding the condition. Section 6. If employees are required to work on a wall where other crafts are working above them a protective canopy shall be provided.
Scaffolds. All scaffolds three (3) bucks high are required to have a stair tower installed. Ladders are prohibited for access/egress above two bucks. Any deviation from this SOP must be submitted and approved by the ▇.▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇
Scaffolds. The scaffold work rate shall be paid for (i) interior and exterior swing scaffold work, which shall include any work on an exterior job where a swing scaffold is used during the performance of the job (whether or not the particular work is done from the scaffold, on a fire escape, or otherwise); (ii) any interior portion of the work on a job where a swing scaffold is required in the performance of that interior work; (iii) work done with window belts or from boatswain chairs; and (iv) work performed twenty (20) feet or more from the floor or ground, including such work when done from extension ladders, or from stationary or rolling platforms, but not including such work when done from completely decked-over platforms. In determining the height of the work, the highest point of work on the surface shall govern, and all work on that surface shall be compensated at the rate so determined. Rule No. 10 - Blood Testing. Whenever blood testing, urine analysis or any other form of testing is a condition of employment on a job, all costs related to said testing shall be borne by the Association Employer.

All scaffolds shall be constructed as physically complete as possible. This includes handrails and midrails on all sides at all elevations used as a Work location, complete Work decks, toe boards on all sides and ladder access. B. Scaffolds and scaffold components shall be inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each Work shift. This inspection shall be documented on the scaffold tag. C. Contractor shall utilize a scaffold tag system meeting the following criteria: 1. A green scaffold tag designates a complete scaffold. 2. A yellow scaffold tag designates a scaffold that is not complete, but may be used with special precautions. e.g., 100% tie off. Yellow tags shall identify the scaffold deficiency and applicable precautions/requirements. 3. A red tag designates a scaffold is in the process of being erected, changed, dismantled or otherwise unfit for occupancy and shall not be used under any circumstances. 4. A competent person shall affix the appropriate tag to each scaffold access ladder. All tags shall identify the responsible Contractor and shall be dated and signed by the erecting supervisor and competent person.
