Common use of Saving Clause Clause in Contracts

Saving Clause. Should any part hereof or any provision herein contained be rendered or declared invalid by reason of any existing or subsequently enacted legislation or by any decree of a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidation of such part or portion of this Agreement shall not invalidate the remaining portions thereof, and the remaining parts or portions thereof shall remain in full force and effect. Both parties agree to immediately attempt to renegotiate such invalidations to a form acceptable to both parties.

Both parties agree Upon the request of either party thereto, subsequent to immediately attempt to renegotiate any such invalidations to a form acceptable to both partiesinvalidation, invalidated portions of this Agreement shall thereupon be renegotiated.
