Save Harmless Clause. The Union shall intervene, indemnify, defend, and save the Employer harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, liability and action which may directly or indirectly arise out of the deduction of the Union membership dues, service fees pursuant to any portion of this Agreement.

Save Harmless Clause. In the event of legal action against the College brought in a court or 30 administrative agency because of its compliance with this Article, the Faculty agrees to defend such 31 action, at its own expense and through its own counsel, provided: 32 1. The College gives timely notice of such action to the Faculty and permits the Faculty 33 intervention as a party if it so desires, and 34 2. The College gives full and complete cooperation to the Faculty and its counsel in securing 35 and giving evidence, obtaining witnesses, and making relevant information available. 1 The Faculty agrees that in any action so defended, it will hold the College harmless from any 2 liability for damages and costs imposed by a final judgment of a court or administrative agency as a 3 direct consequence of the College's compliance with this Article, but this does not include any 4 liability for unemployment compensation paid under the Michigan Employment Security Act.

Save Harmless Clause. ‌ The Union agrees that in the event of litigation against the City of Traverse City, its agents or employees arising out of this provision, the Union will co-defend and indemnify and hold harmless the Employer, its agents or employees for any monetary award arising out of such litigation.

Save Harmless Clause. The Association shall indemnify and save the District harmless against any claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that may arise by reason of the District's complying with the provisions of this Article.

Save Harmless Clause. The Association agrees to indemnify and save the Board, and including each individual school board member, harmless against any and all claims, demands, costs, including unemployment compensation, suits or other forms of liability, including back pay and all court or administrative agency costs, that may arise out of or by reason or action by the Board for the purpose of complying with this agreement.

Save Harmless Clause. In the event the Board, acting on the request of the Association, discharges or attempts to discharge an employee for failure to comply with these provisions, the Association shall assume all costs, indemnify and save harmless the Board against any and all claims, demands, suits, expenses or other forms of liability, including back pay, of whatsoever kind and nature, that shall arise out of action taken by the Board for the purpose of complying with the provisions of this Agreement.

Save Harmless Clause. In the development of this ARTICLE, it was the intent of both parties to comply with all State and Federal Titles and Civil Rights Laws. The Association will hold the Board harmless in any legal action taken.

Save Harmless Clause. The employer agrees to save employees harmless and defend from any action taken or not taken by him/her during the proper performance of his/her duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the district, provided such rules and regulations of the district have been made known to each employee verbally and/or in writing.
