Safety of Adjacent Structures or Works. The Contractor shall at his own expense provide and erect to the approval of the Engineer such supports as may be required to protect efficiently all structures or works which may be endangered by the execution of the Works and shall remove such supports on completion of the Works or otherwise take such permanent measures as may be required by the Engineer to protect the structures or works.
